Acumen Business Convention
The ACUMEN BUSINESS CONVENTION is a one of the largest business conferences outside of the capital. With approximately 300 decision-makers, dazzling live entertainment, an extraordinary line-up of talks, Speakers Arena featuring local business heroes TEDx style, a sit- down lunch and ample networking opportunities. All spiced up with Acumen magic and surprises. Supporting a different local charity every year, this is a not-for-profit business event which is a staple of the Sussex business community, held every year since 2010.
Throughout the years, hundreds of meaningful connections have been made within the community. There isn’t a convention that goes by without tens of contacts mentioning how they met their best client or supplier at the event and where many new collaborations started.
Acumen Peoples Awards
The Acumen People Awards set out to recognise and showcase 7 – 17 year olds within your local community who have gone above and beyond and had a positive impact on the lives around them. You can nominate yourself or a friend, student, sibling, child or anyone else who fits the age criteria for an Acumen People Award. Each nomination will be reviewed by our expert panel of judges and marked using a set formula, therefore it’s important that you read through and answer each question carefully.
Big Fat Greek Club
No pitches – this is a social club for business leaders with great food, drink, music and company – Greek style! The Big Fat Greek Club is brought to you by two business leaders Penina Shepherd of Acumen Business Law and Kyriakos Baxevanis of Nostos Hove and Little Jasmine Therapies & Spa. This club is all about bringing business leaders together in a social, relaxed and friendly environment while enjoying delicious Greek food and music at Nostos restaurant in Hove.The club will be held on a Friday lunch once a month, so you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon should you choose to and what a great way to finish off the week!
